White walls, cold corridors, and a letter he can’t stop reading
The story didn’t end on the dance floor. It ended with him coming apart.
Now he’s somewhere quiet, white walls and cold corridors, learning how to feel real again. The friend who broke everything doesn’t visit. She writes.

He writes back from his bed, knees up, and the words don’t come out steady.

She reads his reply at the kitchen table. Every line lands somewhere it shouldn’t.

Corridors at night. Counting steps until the morning.

Cold noodles, the TV on mute, the cat the only one still keeping her company.

Morning light, and her handwriting again.

Two people, two rooms, the same three o’clock.

And when he finally sleeps, he dreams of a better time. A hillside, sunrise, warm in her arms. No more fear, no more pain.

Then he wakes.

“If I fall, stay near.”
It’s nu-gaze with a dark emo heart: walls of guitar, a heavy nu-metal pulse underneath, and a vocal that sounds like it’s being held together with tape. There are two takes with the same lyrics. I couldn’t choose, so you get both.
